Day 1 of our Gratitude Event! YEAH!
Day 1 was alot for me. My plan was to go grocery shopping and come home. I ended up sleeping in (which I was grateful for the rest). I was using a gift card to pay for the groceries and for some reason the store I went to refused the gift card. I won’t get into the detail because that is not important but it was a frustrating interaction. The manager got involved and she was very aggressive for no reason. I wanted to go into rage mode. I felt she was baiting me and wanting me to explode.
I kept my cool and I know it was the peace of God that took over me. Myself, I would have cussed her out twice before walking away.
I went home and decided to do a GoPuff order for food and in the morning, I would do a pick-up order for a different grocery store (one with more integrity 😉).
I placed the GoPuff order and on the way back inside my apartment $25 is lying on the ground. I stared at the money in shock. No one was outside but me, so I scooped up the money and ran inside.
Life is made up of different challenges. I firmly believe everything happens for a reason. The fact that I spent $25 on a GoPuff order and I found $25 moments after is proof how God blesses me in ALL things. It was a frustrating day but it did not end that way. It caused me to re-evaluate what my complaints are with the day when no matter what, I am STILL blessed.
