It’s Day 11.
Only three more days away from the final countdown to our gratitude finish line! I hope everyone feels as invigorated as I do, wrapping the event up. I am excited to share what I have learned about myself, but I will save it for next Monday!

It’s getting colder; the past two days, the sky has been overcast, the sun is MIA. I love fall, but the weather change from warm to cold throws my body for a loop each year. It takes a few weeks at most for me to internally understand that the weather is not perpetually in the 70s and I need a coat when I go outside.

<<–Thankfully, it’s not this icy yet.
Before I went downstairs to retrieve my delivery order, I remembered I live in Colorado and it’s November. 😂
A few years ago, the apartment I lived in was not as nice as my present-day apartment. The heat went out a few weeks before Thanksgiving, and we were told it would not be fixed until December. I was livid.
It was an uncomfortable situation, and aside from using the loaned space heaters from the leasing office, all we could do was bundle up. The heat wasn’t fixed until a week before Christmas. Aggravating doesn’t begin to describe it, which brings me to today’s gratitude.
Warmth…
The ability to be warm when I am cold or to find warmth in my day is what I am grateful for. I think of this as a basic need along with access to food and housing. When you’re cold, you want relief, and vice versa.
I hope all my sisters are staying warm and creating warmth (happiness) throughout the day.
