Congratulations 👏 Today is National Self-care Day!

I want to talk about how we spend our time. We all have the same 24 hours at the start of each new day.

To my sisters who are working, about 10 hours of your day are accounted for. Getting ready for work. Travel to work. Work. Breaks. End of the day. Errands after work, etc. My day may look different from yours. I am retired. I still have the same 24 hours.

What choices are we making so that the Self becomes as important as all the things we do?

Move around.

Walk to a window and take a few deep breaths.

Splash cold water on your face and feel how refreshing it can be.

There are so many pauses in our day that allow us to take care of Self.

Let’s look for the Pauses.

That trip to the vending machine can wait.

Find a sunny spot to sit.

Self-care begins with Self.

You are the most important person on your journey.

Sisters let’s make time for the Pauses.

Remember, you can always call your sister! 🫶🏽
