Happy Nat’l Girl Scout Day!

National Girl Scout Day was on 03/12. Girl Scouts was a big part of my life growing up. As I got older, I had different interests and stopped being a Girl Scout. I still remember the community, togetherness, and spirit of being a Girl Scout.

It felt incredible being a part of a group, even if it was just for a short while. I was not accepted easily by my peers when I was younger and Girl Scouts was different. Community is vital to have as girls ….as women. We need bonding moments, activities, and a way to be seen.

This is why this sisterhood is so important to me. It’s much needed, in a sea of sexism, hate, and feeling like there isn’t a place for you, I hope you feel the bonds of sisterhood here.

Whenever I see a Girl Scout troop selling cookies, it makes me smile, and I always stop and buy a couple of boxes. It’s not because I love Tagalongs and Samoas either; I’m giving a smile back to the girl I was and a future woman who needs to feel seen.

Happy Girl Scout Day! I hope you feel loved & seen.
Remember you can always call your sister 🥰!
