I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Spring in Oklahoma meant tornados, thunder, and rain. It meant crocus flowers blooming too early and getting killed with the Spring snow that always came before Easter. I LOVED everything about Spring!
Spring is still my favorite season. It always reminds me of the new birth; new opportunities. Trees start budding. Flowers start blooming. There are baby birds chirping. It’s like Mother Nature stretches a brand new canvas over the earth. What once, just months ago was dormant, is now alive with energy. Time to move forward. Time to chase my dreams, again. It doesn’t matter how many times I have started and failed. It doesn’t matter if I fell or climbed new heights. Every year, Spring arrives to remind me I have a fresh start!
This Spring, my do-over is a healthier Me. I am choosing to eat better vs high blood pressure. I am choosing baked skinless chicken over high cholesterol. I am On Purpose choosing to exercise consistently. I am choosing to walk and to walk away from heart disease and premature death.
These are a few of my favorite things: freshly mowed grass. Flowers burst from once dead earth. The way it smells after rain. These are a few of my favorite things; change. Growth. Healthy mind and body.
Dear Sisters, join me in welcoming SPRING! Post your Spring things, thoughts, ideas, plans!
