This year my annual football rant will look a bit different. Oh, there will be ranting, but I thought I would tell my sisters what I enjoy about football.

I want to start with my top 3 teams. I could do my Top 5, but we know we have short attention spans 😂.

  1. 💙🧡 Denver Broncos. The Broncos currently have the top defense in the National Football League. I am a favorite of defensive teams. I am a firm believer that defense wins games. Now, how does this apply to my life, sisters? I will defend my children until my last breath, but sometimes they don’t need me rushing in with guns blazing. My defense can be quiet support, a phone call at the right time, or a hug for a friend.
  2. ❤️ Kansas Chiefs. KC. Who cannot get behind a 2-time Super Bowl team? The chiefs are tenacious. They play hard for the whole game. That has been the mindset of the Kansas City Chiefs since their beginning. I learned from their gameplay to never lose sight of my goals. To keep my vision, no matter what the game clock says.
  3. 💙 Dallas Cowboys. I have been a Cowboys fan since my first foray into the realm of football. From the Tom Landry days to our current coach, I am a Dallas fan. I was there for America’s Team and the “How ‘Bout Them Cowboys” frenzy. I have had many conversations (in my head, of course) with owner Jerry Jones and Coach Jimmy Johnson. LOL. Dallas is the team I most admire for their ability to keep going. I learned that through all of life’s ups and downs, I have to keep going. If people stop believing in you, keep going. When you have fallen from the top, keep going.

My rant about football would be against some of the new rules, using technology to make on-field calls, and the enormous amount of commercialism. When I think about it, these are some of the same things that plague our world.

Each day brings new rules to us. American cities are undergoing a significant transformation. We are being forced to accept AI as the new way to work, communicate, and live. We are bombarded with flashing images and suggestive products that make it easy to ignore the hidden agenda.

I encourage you, my dear sisters, to make wise decisions, set strong boundaries, and LOVE fiercely.

❤️

The joy of the game is what excites me.

Watching my favorite teams win is exhilarating.

Watching football has been an education for me in strategy, surrounding myself with like-minded people, and the ability to set boundaries that keep me safe.
