Day 10!

We have four days left until the gratitude event is over 🤯

The first year we created the event, it was 30 days long, and I legit thought I wasn’t going to make it. 😂

Fourteen days seems more doable and less constricting. I love the event, but Thanksgiving is in this month. I need my brain to decompress before the holidays. It’s been a doozy of a month for me. I don’t want to be political, but isn’t it wild that the government has been shut for 40 days?

That is insane to me. I hope all my sisters are well and taking care of YOU in best way possible. 🙏🏼

Onward to gratitude!

I scheduled a therapy session for today, after work. I lost track of time and was twenty minutes late.

Yep.

Twenty minutes. I was sure she ended the session, as I frantically logged on, but she called me.

I profusely apologized. Most therapists… similar to any doctor, willingly waits fifteen minutes, and then they cancel.

I understand. Fifteen minutes is a long time to wait for no one to show up. My therapist and I were able to connect and have a forty-minute session. I am grateful she waited for me and was understanding of my tardiness.

My mental health is essential to me, and I have never missed a session. I try to show up when I say I will and value a person’s time. It was very gracious of her to wait for me instead of giving up.

In a world where it’s easier to quit, give up, and cancel…having a friendly face wait for you is a blessing.
