HAPPINESS IN YOU—checkup👇🏽

Welcome, sisters, to our first blog post of July. Our theme for this year, 2025, is Happiness In You. It has been several months, so your sister Via wants to check-in. How have you been doing with choosing happiness over strife? I have caught myself about to sacrifice my happiness to be “right.”

I had a friend who, through a misunderstanding, stopped communicating with me. I mean a total ‘ghosting.’ We had been friends for several years. We took vacations together, shared holiday meals, enjoyed football games, and had girl time. For more than 3 weeks I tried all I could to reach out, to find a way back to our friendship. Nothing from her. It wasn’t until I looked at how much happiness I was using up, by not being happy in myself.

When I said “NO MORE” to self-doubt, the “what-ifs,” thinking I didn’t deserve a social circle…… thinking I wasn’t worthy. I started looking deep within myself.

What are the things that bring a smile to my face in the quiet moments? What funny thing did I experience that I still laugh about? Which friends are still around no matter who comes and goes?

The Bible states quite clearly what will bring us back to our happiness inside.

Philippians 4:8…. You will do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

I turned to my thoughts. I turned to my prayers to bless this person. I turned to Happiness in ME. It is not simple. It takes practice and a made-up mind. It takes faith. It takes support.

I encourage my sisters to find ways to practice Happiness In You.

We have a few months left in this year to make this a habit.

Life be life-ing, but every little bit of love and support helps.
