Happy October, sisterhood! π
This month is all about our self-care. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and sharing facts and ways to stay healthy is a great way to love yourself.
Early prevention educates you and provides you with peace of mind for the future!

I grew up knowing my grandmother. When youβre younger, you think those matriarchs will live forever. You donβt imagine there will be a time when they are no longer living. Their life, their legacy, and the funny adventures of family members growing up.
My grandmother died of cancer when I was in middle school. The doctors gave her 7 years; she outlived their expiration date and then some. As an adult, I often wonder if she would be happy with the choices Iβve made.

I have stumbled through seasons in life, but overall Iβm pleased with the woman I am. I participated in the Susan G. Komen Colorado MORE THAN PINK Walk from 2021-2024.

During the walk, I thought of my grandmother’s fight with cancer, how she persevered, and the women she inspired along the way.
Early prevention enables you to spend more time with your family, inspire others, and create a lasting legacy.
