Sisters, WELCOME to our mid-summer BLOG post.

The days have gotten longer. The pools are cool. For some of us, our minds are slowly turning “back to school.” I don’t know about the weather in your area, but the temperatures are rising significantly here. However you decide to end your summer fun, Via has a few tips.

One tip is to hydrate. Hydrate! There are plenty of drinks to choose from. I drink water with electrolytes. I drink vitamin water. I drink tap water. Those of us of a certain age need to pay special attention to our water needs.

I recently was on vacation on the East Coast. I swam in the ocean. I was the only one from my group not sunburned. All of us should use sunscreen. No excuses. Shade is your friend when you are over 35.

Limiting our time outside is important. We often don’t get heat stroke symptoms as we age until it is almost too late. Smaller, cooler meals spread throughout the day are recommended.

So my sisters, as we end our summer fun, let’s remember to stay safe. Stay hydrated. Have fun.
